National Coaches Course in Puerto Rico
SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, May 10, 2018 – A Level 3 National Coaches
Course began on Thursday at the premises of the Puerto Rican
Volleyball Federation with the participation of 30 coaches.
Javier Gaspar, coach of the women’s national team, is among the
participants.
The working process started with the welcoming words by the
director of the course, the former national coach Luis Enrique
–Kike- Ruiz. The instructor is Magdiel Rivera while José Mieles
is the supervisor of the Technical Commission.
The first workshop was under the direction of Dr. Rosaly
Cartagena about nutrition. Other items in agenda are statistics
and technical organization among others.
Dr. César Trabanco, president of the Puerto Rican Federation
commented: “This is part of our proposal of capacitation of our
technicians. We have had an outstanding attendance and I hope
that all those who approves will participate in the
International Level I Course in June.”
The Level I International Course was confirmed earlier this week
and will be from June 27 to July 1 under the direction of
international instructor Jorge Garbey, who has coaches the
national teams of Cuba and Dominican Republic. |
